About Childrens Art Day
The Clore Duffield Foundation values the role that artists and galleries play in visual arts education, and works to increase
opportunities for children and young people to be inspired and challenged through learning about art & design.
Childrens Art Day is a day of events to celebrate art in schools and galleries, museums, art centres
and science and discovery centres, as well as in unusual places all over the country.

Some of the events are exclusively for schools and their pupils, but many others are for all the
family.
Childrens Art Day 2005
Children’s Art Day 2005 took place on Thursday 30 June, and during the weekend of 2-3
July. As in previous years, the purpose of the Day was to encourage and inspire children to engage with art
in museums and galleries and at school.
Children and their families all over the country took part in hundreds of special art activities in schools,
community centres and all the major national and regional galleries and museums.
Childrens Art Day 2004
