Think big
- Large-scale events on the Day are great for getting the local press interested. Involve an artist if you can
- Try unrolling a whole roll of newsprint paper around the corridors or hall. Classes could contribute to it throughout the Day
- Create a forest of sculptures in the playground. Challenge groups to make the largest standing sculpture just out of newspaper and one roll of parcel tape
- Or make an installation from hundreds of tiny sculptures – think of Antony Gormley's 'Field'. Create a theme for the whole school to follow and find a single cheap material, such as a sheet of paper
