£60,000 ARTWORKS AWARDS OPEN FOR 2004 ENTRY
ARTWORKS AWARDS 2004, celebrating inspirational art teaching, are now open
for entry from young artists up to the age of 18 in every school in the UK. Entries must be received by
Friday 12 March 2004.

A total of 90 young artists representing 29 schools from all over the UK received awards at this
year's ARTWORKS: YOUNG ARTISTS OF THE YEAR AWARDS CEREMONY at Tate Modern, London on Children's

CHILDREN DEPRIVED OF SPACE FOR ART, NEW REPORT FINDS
The Clore Duffield Foundation publishes today Space for Art, the final report and recommendations based on a two year study of art-making and exploration spaces in schools, galleries and museums throughout the UK, on Children's Art Day, Thursday 3 July.

CHILDREN'S ART DAY: A NATIONWIDE CELEBRATION
Tens of thousands of children, their teachers and their families, from all parts of the country,
will take part in the biggest celebration ever of CHILDREN'S ART DAY on Thursday 3 July, with special events everywhere from Buckingham Palace to Ballymena Park, the National Gallery to a bus in Glasgow, and schools, hospitals, streets, parks, playgrounds and carnivals.

Artworks launches new website
This week sees the launch of the new-look Artworks website created by design consultancy,
SteersMcGillan. The website (www.art-works.org.uk) is a resource for art and design teachers and gives full details of the
Artworks programme, devised and funded by the Clore Duffield Foundation, and now in its fourth year.

Artworks: Young Artists of the Year Awards and National Children's Art Day

More than 39,500 children aged between three and 18 took part in projects which were entered in the Artworks: Young Artists of the Year Awards 2002. The Awards, now in their third year, were presented at a ceremony at Tate Modern in London on National Children's Art Day, 20 June 2002.
