The Clore Duffield Foundation
The Clore Duffield Foundation is a grant-giving Foundation with a particular interest in supporting children,
young people and society's most vulnerable individuals, through the charities which work to educate, inspire,
empower or care for them.
In addition to the Artworks scheme
- which it ran from 1999 to 2004, the Foundation has two main programmes:
- Main Grants Programme
- The Clore Performing Arts Awards
The Foundation also balances its philanthropic work across reactive grant-giving and a more active, operational
approach. When it sees a gap in provision, it will occasionally step in to put together a programme to address
a perceived need. This was the case when the Foundation launched Artworks in 1999 and has more recently been
the case with the
Clore Leadership Programme
and the
Jewish Community Centre for London project.
Currently, an
Older People Project
is investigating some of the issues associated with provision for disadvantaged older people.
