The two storyboards illustrated here show how effective a storyboard
can be in helping the Judges to reach their decision.

- Lively photographs depict the work in progress and show pupils engrossed in the project
- Photographs are displayed with no unnecessary decoration or double mounting
- A poster advertising the concert and workshops indicates some of the outcomes of the project
- The text provided fully explains the project in a way that is concise and easy to read
- Comments from those who attended the concert in the gallery indicate the high quality of the work produced (on reverse)
- A numbered sequence gives clear details of the project from start to finish
- Photographs show pupils at work, as well as finished drawings
- Pupils' comments on what they did and what they achieved indicate the depth of their understanding
- Comments from the primary school demonstrate how they valued their involvement
- Photographs show how much the primary school children enjoyed their involvement in the project
- A supporting letter from the gallery indicates how exciting the project was for them (on reverse)

- The storyboard uses minimal text and avoids duplication of images. Instead it sets out clearly the sequence of events
- A single image shows the artist's work that inspired them
- A clear and concise description indicates why the project took place and exactly what it involved
- A comment by the Director of Education shows support for the project and the school
- A tiny book is attached to the storyboard, filled with drawings and haiku poems by the children
- Photographs show the processes involved, and indicate how the children were deeply involved in their work
- Photographs are mounted without double mounting or unnecessary decoration
- Concepts behind the project are clearly explained
- A comment from a farmer's wife affected by foot and mouth indicates how much the community valued the project
