The new Artists and Learning Information Support Services (ALISS) will serve teachers in the
West Midlands, though the site will include information that will be useful for all teachers. To be launched in May 2003,
it will include a list of artists and arts organisations with a good track record of working in schools.

Southern Arts and South East Arts artists in education directory. Currently unavailable,
due to concerns over issues relating to child protection.

Axis provides information about contemporary artists and makers, through a large searchable
database. Even if they do not advertise as such, many artists listed may be interested in working in schools.

Provides detailed information about the new disclosure procedure for checking the suitability
of artists or other adults working in school for working with children.
www.laade.org
The site of London Art and Design in Education. A useful source of information for teachers
seeking to work with visual artists and museums and galleries, primarily in London. Although their database is currently
unavailable, there are a number of other useful facilities on this site.
