Written exclusively to support the National Curriculum by a team of more than 60 teachers, this subscription site offers hundreds of teaching ideas, including many on art. Annual subscription rates range from £80 to £450 per year for schools - £50 for home use.

An experimental site for art teachers, offering ideas and food for thought around the work of 36 featured artists, grouped by the themes of 'play', 'space and place' and 'translation'. Devised as part of a research project by Middlesex University working with 200 schools.

The site of the Drumcroon Education Art Centre in Wigan. Features the work of a number of artists involved in the centre as well as useful summaries of the QCA schemes of work.

The site of the National Society for Education in Art and Design . Features a useful searchable Artlinks section, which lists hundreds of excellent websites for use in art teaching.

START HERE NOW

Start, a new magazine for primary and pre-school teachers of art, craft and design is published by NSEAD, the National Society for Education in Art and Design. Each issue of Start contains 24 pages of news, features and resources to help teachers in the classroom. Published twice a term, every edition includes a free poster with teaching notes and, in the first year, a subject leader’s handbook in a pull-out section.

The publication is being supported by Arts Council England and costs £30 per year.
